What are Dual Enrollment Partnerships? It has been a practice for several years that Peters Township High School students are eligible to enroll in self-selected college courses provided that the courses are not already offered here at our high school. At the same time that they are earning college credit, students may also earn credit toward high school graduation provided they obtain approval from district counselors and administrators prior to enrolling in the college course. In addition to allowing students to self-select courses, the district has entered into “Dual Enrollment” partnerships with several two and four year colleges and universities. As an outcome of these partnerships, certain identified courses are offered to high school students at reduced tuition costs. In addition, the district has applied for grant funding that, if awarded, would help parents offset tuition costs of courses identified in the Dual Enrollment Partnerships. This opportunity is open to all incoming juniors and seniors who reside within the Peters Township SD including those students attending private, non-public, cyber, charter schools and receiving home schooling. Note that all costs associated with these partnerships as well as and any other college courses in which the student enrolls are the responsibility of the student and his or her family.
